We are currently recruiting a Teacher of PE (Maternity Cover) to join our established PE Team at Henley Bank High School. This role will deliver high‑quality lessons and support the development of a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and delivering a balanced curriculum across all key stages.
  • Planning and delivering schemes of work and lessons for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Providing consistent, high‑quality teaching that promotes student engagement.
  • Maintaining accurate teaching records and supporting student progress monitoring.
  • Evaluating assessment and feedback, and working with external examination bodies as required.
  • Serving as a tutor for an assigned group of students and promoting their overall wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with pastoral leaders to implement the Student Support system.
  • Communicating with parents and external parties regarding student welfare.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold at least five GCSEs (including Maths and English Grade C/5 or equivalent).
  • Hold a recognised degree with a good classification and a relevant teaching qualification (QTS).
  • Demonstrated independent personal development and wide reading of current research.
  • Excellent classroom practice and ability to teach to Key Stage 4.
  • Desire to raise achievement and promote high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Detailed knowledge of current curriculum and pedagogical developments.
