Orchard Park High School has an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Dance and Drama to join our existing Performing Arts team on a full-time basis. We are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of dance and drama and a commitment to ensuring a challenging and enriching curriculum. You should have previous experience in teaching Dance and Drama in an educational setting and hold a relevant recognised degree or equivalent.
As a Teacher of Dance and Drama, your main responsibilities will be:
- To contribute to the continued development of the department
- To teach the dance and drama curriculums across years 7‑11
- To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve the very best
- To contribute to raising standards of student attainment and progress especially at Key Stage 4
- To share and support the school to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth
- To set expectations for staff and students
- To maintain excellent behaviour using the school procedures and to support high standards of work and homework
- To update your own professional knowledge and expertise with developments in teaching practice and methodology
