Build something that lasts
What if the organisations working to tackle disadvantage across Bath and North East Somerset could achieve even more by working together?
We are seeking an ambitious, relationship-focused Community Partnerships Manager to lead the development of a new cross-sector coalition focused on improving outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people across Bath and North East Somerset.
This is an exciting opportunity to create meaningful, long-term change by bringing together schools, charities, local government, businesses and public services around a shared purpose. Rather than delivering programmes directly, you will build partnerships, align resources, secure investment and help organisations work more effectively together.
About the role
As Community Partnerships Manager, you will:
- Build and lead a cross-sector coalition focused on reducing disadvantage.
- Act as the Trust's principal link with Bath and North East Somerset Council.
- Develop strong relationships with schools, community organisations, charities, businesses and public sector partners.
- Manage transparent seed-funding processes and support the allocation of investment.
- Develop new funding opportunities through trusts, foundations, corporate partnerships and grant programmes.
- Coordinate collaborative projects and monitor progress against agreed outcomes.
- Provide robust reporting, governance and accountability arrangements.
- Champion a shared vision that delivers lasting impact for children and young people.
About you
We're looking for someone who can inspire collaboration and turn ideas into action. You will have:
- Experience building productive relationships across multiple organisations and sectors.
- A track record of influencing and driving progress without direct line management responsibility.
- Experience securing funding and managing relationships with funders.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong judgement, diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
- A commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people experiencing disadvantage.
- The ability to think strategically while maintaining a practical focus on delivery.
Knowledge of the Bath and North East Somerset area and experience of working with local authorities or public bodies would be advantageous.
Why join us?
This is a rare opportunity to shape a new initiative from the ground up and make a significant contribution to the lives of children and young people across our community.
You'll have the chance to:
- Build connections that strengthen our community.
- Help promising ideas gain momentum and scale.
- Secure funding that delivers lasting impact.
- Influence change across multiple organisations.
- Turn shared values into meaningful action.
