As a Medical Ethics Manager, you will ensure our activities, projects and initiatives comply with all AstraZeneca policies, the ABPI Code of Practice, applicable laws and regulations. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of compliant review and approval of promotional and non‑promotional materials and activities.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca policies, the ABPI Code of Practice, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct timely and accurate review and approval of promotional and non‑promotional materials and activities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain ethical standards.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Experienced Medical Signatory.
  • Registered Physician (preferably GMC registered) or Pharmacist (General Pharmaceutical Council registered).
  • Previous experience working in a medical or compliance role within the pharmaceutical industry or an agency.
  • Experience managing processes, procedures and guidance.
  • Good track record in integrity and personal reputation.
  • Problem solving, pragmatic and solution focused.
  • Process and project management skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring.
  • Evidence of effective team and collaborative working with accountability.
  • Patient and customer insight through experience in the NHS.
  • Highly developed time management and communication skills linked to strong interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Previous experience working in a compliance environment.
  • Expertise in at least one of the disease/therapy areas of AstraZeneca.
  • Understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Understanding of commercialisation processes and marketing activities and the needs surrounding the effective promotion of drug products.
