Overview
Do you have expertise in, and a passion for, developing and leading marketing strategies?
Purpose
You will lead the development of the private-sector strategy and operational plan for the launch and promotion of breast indications in the UK (60%) and the development of a private‑sector commercialisation blueprint for the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) (40%). You will be responsible for delivering insights-driven strategies and tactics to maximise private market access, commercial performance, and launch excellence. You will also lead the implementation of private plans, working closely with cross-functional partners in the Breast Franchise, OBU, and Private Partnerships Team.
Key Accountabilities
- Leading the development and implementation of the private strategic and tactical plans for breast indications.
- Implementing innovative tactics to deliver private value, in collaboration with private partnerships and cross-functional team.
- Developing a blueprint for commercialising OBU indications in the private sector, working closely with OBU-wide franchise teams.
- Gathering robust private insights to support strategy and forecast development.
- Implementing private cross-functional account planning and customer engagement strategies for the brands.
- Ensuring strong external relationships with private KEEs, HCPs and private hospitals are built and maintained in the private sector.
- Best-Practice Sharing and Alliance Coordination - Share insights across franchise, field commercial, and Alliance teams to strengthen market understanding and delivery.
- In conjunction with Procurement, sourcing and engaging external agencies and suppliers to help enhance Therapy Area/Brand performance.
- Overseeing budget planning and management for brand teams within the franchise; leading performance review meetings to ensure optimal performance and value for money.
- Working with Franchise Heads to develop and inspire the marketing team to innovate and compete effectively through cohesive global and local cross-functional working.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Degree qualified.
- Strong marketing leadership with successful track record of growing market share and launching new products/brands.
- Pharmaceutical experience in Oncology at senior marketing level, with demonstrable success.
- Highly developed communication, teamwork and partner management skills; strong networking capability.
- Extensive knowledge of Account Planning and Customer Engagement programs and processes.
- Good knowledge of local and international Oncology leaders with vision; ability to build and leverage KEEs networks.
- In-depth understanding of local healthcare system pricing and reimbursement; specific understanding of private sector models as distinct from NHS.
- Entrepreneurial thinker, accomplished marketer, able to develop innovative approaches tailored to private sector dynamics.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- MBA.
- Additional certifications in marketing, healthcare management, or digital/omnichannel marketing.
- Experience and proven success launching brands in the UK private sector.
- Experience with insured/self-pay patient pathways, private hospital group dynamics, and commercial partnerships.
- Experience working in the breast cancer oncology market.
- Knowledge and/or relationships with Oncology KEEs in private practice and private provider networks.
