What You'll Do
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive network strategies for the biologics drug substance platform across AstraZeneca's global operations.
- Lead strategic evaluations of our supply chain footprint, including make-vs-buy decisions and contract manufacturing partnerships.
- Drive capacity planning by analyzing portfolio demand and aligning supply options to meet current and future requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Biologics Global Technical Operations, BPD, Global Engineering, and GSSDs to integrate emerging pipeline technologies into our network strategy.
- Evaluate and optimize asset utilization, identifying opportunities for network optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Design the biologics drug substance network to support AstraZeneca's exciting pipeline of breakthrough therapies and emerging modalities.
- Provide strategic input on capital allocation decisions with direct accountability for CapEx prioritization within your platform.
- Assess financial implications of strategic options, analyzing impact on CapEx, OpEx, and inventory optimization.
- Represent Global Operations in senior cross-functional decision-making forums.
- Partner closely with Global Biologics Operations and Biopharmaceutical Development teams.
- Influence product development processes to ensure effective supply chain design for new biologics.
- Act as an external ambassador for AstraZeneca's Global Operations function.
- Challenge and influence senior stakeholders across the organization when strategic alignment is needed.
