As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will provide consultancy services on the rights and obligations of employers and employees, contribute to the development of robust employment policies, and coach managers on country-specific Employee Relations policies. Accountabilities:

  • Provide advice and consultancy services across a broad portfolio of employment cases.
  • Own case resolution; assessing risks (legal, financial, and reputational) and developing appropriate approaches for resolution.
  • Collaborate with Legal Counsel and third parties to reach closure on cases.
  • Develop relationships with senior management and other specialists to provide employment relations advice.
  • Assist in the development of employment policies and processes, facilitate training programs, and support with varied ER project work.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of handling ER casework from start to finish to include disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance management.
  • Experience of UK Employment Law legal framework, to understand the risks associated with ER casework and advise stakeholders accordingly.
  • The ability to provide commercially focussed and pragmatic advice to balance the needs of the individuals and the commercial organisation.
  • Experience of creating and reviewing employment policies and procedures in light of ongoing changes to employment law and HR best practice.
  • Creating and delivering training on ER and HR subjects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience of digital and technological ER solutions to bring efficiencies to the case ER lifecycle.
  • High level of organisation and ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet needs of a fast paced environment.
