This business process leadership is responsible for working across with the broader CM&S organisation and into operations to develop and implement new supply & inventory planning processes. The successful candidate will build our capability to ensure we achieve our strategic vision and deliver product to patient. This role will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and ensuring the performance of the supply planning processes as well as ensuring that the technology, people and process capability meets the need of the process now and in the future.
A successful process definition requires an effective process owner. This process owner is the architect behind working cross-functionally and benchmarking among industry peers and thought leaders to tailor the most appropriate supply planning process to achieve management objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of a multiyear strategic roadmap to improve supply planning capability in alignment with business and supply chain strategy.
- Align strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy and different parts of the business.
- Lead projects to implement improvements to supply planning processes.
- Assess process maturity across collaboration with local teams and identify gaps in process capabilities.
- Benchmarking of our supply & inventory planning processes, performance & systems vs peers.
- Document the process to appropriate level of detail driving simplification of processes and removal of waste.
- Working with IT and digital/AI groups to build tools which support understanding & optimisation of our supply planning processes.
- Manage any supporting systems (with System Owner).
- Establish & lead an effective business process network, with sub-process owners/process champions understanding the priority improvement areas from a user perspective.
- Improve people capability across CM&S, providing training materials, expert advice and coaching. Working with CM&S training role(s) to roll-out appropriate training & ensure that there is a learning, skills and training plan that accompanies all new and existing processes.
- Define KPIs; monitor, improve and drive adherence to the business process.
- Own continuous improvement programme to ensure processes are more efficient &/or sustainable, adapting to new business needs.
- Tracks benefits and improvement into the business.
- Maintain open communication channel with supply chain planning teams to identify process pain points, develop alternatives to resolve issues and ensures engagement to process standardization.
Requirements:
- Degree, MSc, PhD in a scientific or business field.
- Hands on experience in pharma or biotech industry.
- Broad & deep supply chain planning experience.
- Deep understanding and experience of supply planning systems (SAP or advance planning systems).
- Experienced in business process management, process improvement and governance.
- Highly developed operational and project management skills with experience leading multi workstream projects end to end.
- Analytical capability and sound information gathering using lean techniques - observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources, identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts to support change efforts and performance improvement from factory schedulers to high-level executives.
- Judgement, decision making and problem solving - analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems by identifying root cause and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Influence and leadership presence - presenting to and communicating with stakeholders and peers at all levels of the organization in an efficient and effective way in written form, e-mail, or in person.
