Overview
In this role you will lead neurology medical strategy for the UK&I, translating evidence into improved patient pathways. You will guide a Medical Affairs team to deliver value through scientific engagement and advocacy, using data and AI insights to shape priorities. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure medical governance, ethics and compliant decision-making. Responsibilities
- Jointly own the Disease Strategic Plan with the Commercial Franchise Lead and develop the medical tactical plan
- Translate enterprise customer experience goals into disease-area priorities and deliver coordinated scientific engagement
- Lead and develop an agile Medical Affairs team with a focus on data-, digital-, and AI-enabled ways of working
- Provide medical mentorship, oversee risk management, OPEX planning and medical review to ensure scientific integrity and compliant use of AI
- Engage with clinical opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to advance scientific advocacy and healthcare-system insights
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Corporate Affairs and Regulatory Affairs to align plans
Key requirements
- Medical degree or bachelor’s degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences or related field
- Experience in Medical Affairs in Neurology with knowledge of guidelines and launches in this therapeutic area
- Significant pharmaceutical industry experience with leadership of complex medical strategies or workstreams
- Proven ability to translate insights into prioritized, measurable actions across product lifecycle
- Inclusive leadership, coaching and capability development in a matrix environment
- Strong collaboration across Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Corporate Affairs and Regulatory affairs
- Understanding of ABPI Code, medical review and governance requirements
- Familiarity with data, AI, privacy and information security considerations
