Your New Company

As a Business Insights Manager, you will be working within the UK Oncology Insights and Analytics team to provide relevant insights and analysis to enable an optimal diagnosis of our Breast Cancer business performance. In this regard, the Business Insights Manager will be responsible for epidemiology-based forecasting, analysing different data sources (sales data, competitive insights, activity, etc.) & running market research studies to generate insights aimed at delivering competitive advantage.

Your New Role

  • Deliver rigorous epidemiology-based indication demand forecasts through robust analysis of diverse datasets and market insights, supporting oncology strategic and financial planning within AZUK.
  • Generate actionable insights across patients, customers, NHS stakeholders, brands, markets, and therapy areas by analysing multiple data sources to inform and influence business decisions.
  • Design and execute high-quality market research to deepen business understanding and inform brand strategy and marketing mix decisions.
  • Provide performance analytics on priority indications by identifying data-driven patterns, uncovering brand opportunities, and articulating practical recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with business units to understand key issues and deliver tailored solutions that support decision-making.
  • Proactively identify blind spots and opportunities, addressing unmet business questions with targeted insights.
  • Ensure all activities comply with AstraZeneca SOPs and Code of Conduct.
  • Contribute to the achievement of annual P&L, contribution, and sales targets.

Essential Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar analytical or insights generation roles in pharmaceuticals industry.
  • Knowledge of NHS, Oncology & Breast Cancer advantageous.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Strong Excel + PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to distil impactful insights out of different data sets including primary market research and performance reports.
  • Self-starter who can face challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Proven track record of working with senior stakeholders in a complex environment.

Desirable:

  • Pharma Sales & Marketing experience.
