The AstraZeneca Summer Internship Program is a 10–12-week development experience running through the summer months. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring engineers to gain hands‑on experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. As an Engineering Intern at our Speke site, you will have the chance to work alongside seasoned professionals and contribute to critical projects focused on the engineering aspects of vaccine production.

Intern Eligibility Requirements
- Students must be 18 years or older at time of hire; and not require sponsorship to work in the UK.
- Students pursuing undergraduate, masters or doctoral degree.
- A salary will be paid.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support daily engineering operations.
- Assist in maintaining and improving manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Participate in the troubleshooting and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects from ideation through implementation.
- Support process optimisation efforts to increase the sustainability of our manufacturing practices.
- Perform data analysis to enhance process understanding and identify areas for improvement.
