This leadership role offers high autonomy and a chance to influence portfolio outcomes at scale. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li flexible employee benefits fund /li li holiday purchase and flexible time off /li li pension contributions /li li Share Save Plans /li li performance recognition scheme /li li competitive remuneration package /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide scientific leadership across the Translational Pathology portfolio and ensure studies are fit for purpose /li li Act as an expert in histopathology, tissue-based biomarkers, immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, image analysis, and data review /li li Develop and challenge experimental plans, endpoints, and timelines with clear success criteria /li li Maintain an integrated view of project scope, milestones, risks and resource needs /li li Lead projects or workstreams with design, interpretation and delivery of outputs /li li Ensure pathology activities comply with GCP, protocols, procedures and quality standards /li li Coordinate preparation, quality review, interpretation and handover of pathology data packages /li li Plan and prioritise team capacity across pathology review, IHC, image analysis, and related capabilities /li li Lead, mentor and develop scientists, promoting excellence and growth /li li Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate pathology into development strategies /li li Present portfolio updates and recommendations to teams and governance forums /li li Contribute to Translational Pathology strategy, technology and operating-model development /li li Contribute to improvements in pathology, biomarker science, and therapeutic research /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Significant postdoctoral or equivalent experience in academia, biotech, pharma or related settings /li li Substantial practical experience in histopathology within translational or pharmaceutical environments /li li Expertise in immunohistochemistry including assay development and interpretation /li li Experience with GCLP/GLP/ISO 15189/ISO 17025 or similar quality standards and audits /li li Experience leading multiple concurrent projects with resource and risk management /li li Ability to critically evaluate data and recommend next steps /li li Excellent written and verbal communication for specialist and non-specialist audiences /li li Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams /li /ul ul li Strong leadership and mentorship abilities /li li Strategic thinking and portfolio management /li li Excellent communication and collaboration across functions /li li Histopathology /li li Immunohistochemistry (assay development/optimisation) /li li Tissue-based biomarker analysis /li /ul
