The Oncology Business Unit is a cross-functional, cross market business unit that embodies our value of playing to win by maximising our unprecedented number of upcoming launches in oncology.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Global Franchise Finance Director (FFD), we are seeking two ambitious Franchise Finance Managers (FFMs) to provide high-quality financial management and support to the relevant OBU Franchise. You will support the FFD in delivering strategic long-term and mid-term plans, as well as quarterly and monthly results, serving as a key member of the Global OBU Finance team. You will also deliver and manage accurate, ongoing reporting on the relevant OBU Franchise above-market financial activity. Where applicable, you will also be responsible for running alliance-related processes, including Alliance Forecasts, quarterly settlements, and Elbrus system setup and maintenance. This will require close partnership with external Alliance finance teams, regional AZ teams, and other functional areas.

Accountabilities:

  • Planning & Reporting Support: Partner with the FFD and the commercial team to deliver P&L management and other deliverables to senior stakeholders.
  • Work with the FFD to liaise with FP&A stakeholders across the Global OBU, Region, Markets and external Alliance partners to drive well-defined, consistent & cohesive planning & forecasting processes, including Alliance Forecasts where applicable.
  • Understand key assumptions underpinning the AZ forecasts & Alliance forecasts, helping provide insights and foresights on risks and opportunities.
  • Create and maintain financial models to enable accurate forecasting across the relevant OBU Franchise.
  • Provide quarterly commercial reporting support to the FFD to deliver results to the relevant OBU franchise leadership team, working with commercial stakeholders and regional finance teams.
  • Partner with the Commercial Franchise Operations team to oversee monthly above market franchise activity.
  • Work with the FFD and the Global Collaboration Finance team to ensure post-deal management requirements are met, and quarter-end positions, forecasts and planning are accurate and complete.

Business Partnering:

  • Work closely with the FFD across the LTP/RBU/MTP cycles, and provide support on performance analysis against AZ forecasts.
  • Support the build of Revenue and P&L forecast models for LTP and MTP, providing insight and analysis.
  • Prepare and monitor the relevant OBU Franchise budget, partnering with the commercial team to deliver plans in line with targets.
  • Partner with other franchise teams, markets and regions, leveraging best practices and realizing synergies across the broader franchise finance team.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify and standardise processes and procedures wherever possible, and share learnings with the wider finance team.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified finance professional - CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis.
  • Experience in planning and reporting activities.
  • Experience with financial systems (Hyperion, SAP).
  • Strong experience with Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling.

  • Knowledge of Oncology brands and commercial P&L understanding.
