We’re looking for an Associate Tax Director to join our dynamic in‑house Global Tax Operations team. If you are a qualified tax/accounting professional with significant UK direct tax and tax reporting experience, this is an opportunity to experience and influence UK tax compliance and accounting in a FTSE 100.

In this role you will:

  • Lead delivery of all aspects of UK corporation tax computations, financial statement tax disclosures and other direct tax UK filing obligations to appropriate timelines and quality, partnering with our Outsource Service Provider.
  • Oversee relevant UK claims and elections including patent box, capital allowances claims and international and UK group processes such as corporate interest restrictions, Controlled Foreign Companies risk assessments, anti‑hybrid risk assessments.
  • Prepare quarterly and year‑end tax provisions for the Group consolidation, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley.
  • Support with operation of wider tax governance processes, e.g. Corporate Criminal Offence, Senior Accounting Officer.
  • Stay ahead of changes in UK tax legislation, assess implications to tax compliance and tax accounting and where necessary, build changes in processes.
  • Manage and prepare responses to HMRC audit queries and participate in meetings and negotiations with HMRC.
  • Manage and develop team members, fostering a culture of growth and accountability within the team.
  • Oversee scope of work and transactional analysis outputs provided by our Tax Delivery Team finance support to ensure high‑quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with the various accounting departments within the UK to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information required for tax reporting, the tax computations and audit queries.
  • Provide day‑to‑day tax advice to the UK business and assess implications of projects on UK compliance and tax accounting.
  • Drive process excellence and identify and implement best practice process improvements across tax compliance.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Qualified tax/accounting professional with good accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, and ability to utilise technology effectively to operate tax processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK corporation tax.
  • Ability to lead and progress numerous actions in a coordinated and organised manner.
  • Efficient process management and delegation skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
