As a Transforming Care Partner, you will play a pivotal and highly visible role within AstraZeneca's Oncology Business Unit, leading the integration of Transforming Care strategies at the heart of our tumour franchise plans. You will be at the forefront of collaborative innovation, interrogating patient funnels and pathway efficiencies to identify, shape, and deliver opportunities that will transform cancer care in high-priority tumour areas. This role offers a unique platform for direct, high-impact interaction with senior NHS stakeholders, including leading strategic engagement with Cancer Alliances and system partners, to co-create solutions that have tangible benefits for patients, the healthcare system, and AstraZeneca.

You will also work closely with internal leaders across franchises and functions, proactively surfacing opportunities, and jointly developing robust business cases and compelling value propositions that drive partnership and investment decisions at the highest levels. You will take end-to-end accountability for cross-functional execution in our most critical accounts, ensuring that initiatives are not only strategically aligned but also rigorously measured and scaled for maximum impact. Your remit will include leading third-party vendor relationships, shaping and executing scalable solutions, and using your influence and expertise to champion pathway optimisation and system transformation across the oncology ecosystem.

This is a high-profile, partnership-driven role ideal for someone who thrives on building senior relationships, shaping strategy, and delivering measurable outcomes in a complex and fast-moving environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with franchise cross-functional teams to ensure Transforming Care principles are integrated into Tumour Strategy Plans (TSPs).
  • Continuously evaluate and interpret local and national pathway challenges, through strong engagement with field force teams to identify further areas of partnerships and innovation. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the external oncology and pathway landscape will be critical.
  • Lead strategic business case development that prioritises investment for Transforming Care based on pathway challenges, the AstraZeneca tumour portfolio and an understanding of the external oncology landscape.
  • Build and deliver comprehensive Transforming Care solution strategy plans that identify appropriate solutions and vendors, engage with external healthcare system community for co-creation and lead on scaling plans through a detailed understanding of strategic segmentation & targeting (S&T) to enable scale of Transforming Care initiatives.
  • Lead flagship partnerships with 3rd party vendors.
  • Establish frameworks for impacting reporting and analysis through effectively identifying and building robust KPIs that measure tumour strategy plan delivery and partnership impact. This includes effectively measuring outcomes and determining scaling plans and exit strategies of ongoing partnerships.
  • Lead and manage senior NHS strategic relationships with the oncology community. This includes managing strategic relationships with Cancer Alliances and other relevant system partners, as well as leading pan-OBU engagement in pre-identified high value centres for AstraZeneca OBU through development and implementation of external value propositions that drive partnership.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across franchises and functions to deliver on role accountabilities and external strategic relationship management.
  • Share best practices and learnings across different franchises, markets and within the global AstraZeneca organisation to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all solutions comply with local and international regulations, ethical guidelines, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of performance driving strategic leadership - demonstrated experience in building, owning and executing end-to-end strategies that drive measurable results, particularly in new and emerging areas.
  • Results-driven, creative thinker - ability to think beyond conventional approaches and identify new opportunities, and apply commercial rigour and marketing principles to unlock growth in evolving parts of the business.
  • Extensive influencing skills to partner with organisation to ensure strong value propositions and outcomes in shared areas.
  • Strong experience in engaging with senior NHS stakeholders and influencing system change at regional or national level.
  • Broad and multi-functional experience across marketing, medical and/or transformation roles.
