As Global Marketing Director, Core Respiratory, you will lead the commercial strategy for our core respiratory portfolio, focusing on Symbicort Aerosphere and the Next Generation Propellant (NGP) portfolio. You will work with cross‑functional teams and regional leaders to drive global commercial excellence in respiratory therapeutics. In this role, you will serve as the Global Commercial Lead for critical respiratory assets while providing commercial leadership across all cross‑functional interactions. To succeed you will demonstrate your ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership capabilities, problem solve, influence without authority and collaborate in both scientific and commercial contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global commercial strategy for Symbicort Aerosphere, ensuring cohesive development and execution aligned with broader respiratory franchise strategy.
  • Drive governance and cross‑functional leadership including FRC, COMMID, and DRCs while providing GPT representation in all commercial interactions.
  • Lead critical, cross‑functional projects (medical, commercial, market access, analytics, finance, and operations) to accelerate delivery of strategic initiatives and translate strategy into execution.
  • Develop strong congress strategy for critical global‑led medical congresses, including booth presence, promotional activities and educational initiatives.
  • Partner closely with priority markets to ensure readiness, capability building, and best practice sharing across regions.
  • Manage market prioritization and regulatory interface coordination while overseeing artwork & IP management for global brand consistency.
  • Lead US market interface activities and coordinate commercial efforts to optimize market execution and performance.
  • Anticipate and respond to evolving respiratory and biologics competitive landscapes through proactive strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with global medical team to develop strong science story and action plan, including KEE engagement strategy.
  • Lead a portfolio approach to the Next Generation Propellant (NGP) portfolio by driving cross‑functional workstreams, coordinating NGP and brand team efforts, and managing operations interface.
  • Develop alliances with Clinical, Medical Affairs, Business Insights, Pricing and Market Access and Communications providing input to cross‑functional planning and programs.
  • Build sustainable, long‑term relationships with global Key External Experts in line with brand team objectives, and co‑lead strategic advisory boards and input sessions.
  • Consult on external NGP interactions including partnerships and strategic alliances while collaborating with Operations on simplified PSP solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks through comprehensive monitoring and strategic risk management processes.
  • Demonstrate leadership and agility as role will evolve and grow as the team expands and in line with the candidate's professional development plan.
  • Lead key business processes such as budget management, brand strategic planning, long‑term forecast, therapeutic area strategy, quarterly business review, brand operational planning, and KPI development.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS is required.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years' experience in pharmaceutical marketing and related roles with validated results in product launches and portfolio management.
  • Respiratory and/or biologics experience required, as well as global commercial leadership experience are essential.
  • Experience owning the development and execution of brand strategy across multiple market segments and providing input into global brand strategy.
  • Experience developing KPIs, multichannel media management and analytics plans for performance optimization.
  • Cross‑functional leadership experience managing complex, matrixed organizations and driving alignment across regions.
  • Experience identifying and developing alliances for cross‑functional planning and programs as core elements to create commercial opportunities.
