Join the UK Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology team as a Brand Manager and help shape the next phase of our evolving portfolio across hepatobiliary (HPB) and oesophagogastric (OG) cancers. This is an opportunity for an agile marketer to use customer, clinical and market insights to shape strategic priorities and translate them into focused action that delivers measurable value for customers, the business and patients.

UK GI Oncology marketing is a close-knit, high-performing team that values pace, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone who can see the bigger picture, turn thinking into action and remain focused on making a meaningful difference for people living with GI cancers.
Accountability:
You will lead the development and delivery of strategic priorities across the portfolio, spanning both in-market and pipeline indications. Taking a portfolio-wide perspective, you will identify synergies and interdependencies, anticipate implications across plans and make clear, insight and data-led recommendations. You will translate strategy into focused execution with defined measures of success and be accountable for delivery, impact and the effective allocation of investment.
You will play a key role in evolving how we engage customers across the portfolio. You will support the team in levelling up on customer engagement through optimising customer journeys and channel approaches that create connected and seamless experiences. You will champion an agile, data-led test-and-learn mindset, using insights and performance data to continuously improve customer experience and impact. You will proactively identify opportunities to simplify, improve and innovate, harnessing AI-enabled solutions, emerging technologies and new channels to enhance engagement and outcomes.
You will manage agency relationships, budgets, timelines and governance requirements, ensuring all activities are delivered in line with ABPI requirements and AstraZeneca processes. Success will require adaptability, resilience and personal accountability, maintaining momentum and high standards in a fast-changing environment.
Essential skills and experience:
- Degree qualified or equivalent professional background
- Background in pharmaceutical marketing or healthcare consultancy
- Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic plans
- Strong capability in integrated customer engagement across channels
- Working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice
- Knowledge of the UK market and NHS environment
Desirable skills and experience:
- Oncology experience, preferably within GI
- Experience mapping customer journeys, segmenting audiences and developing engagement plans tailored to customer needs
- Familiarity with budget tracking
- Experience working in an agile, test-and-learn environments
- Track record of managing external agencies
