Site Supervisor Window Installation
Location: Wellington Street, Sheffield
Contract Duration: Approximately 18 months
Qualification: SMSTS preferred
Astraseal is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the installation of uPVC windows and associated products on a busy multi-storey construction project in Sheffield.
Although primarily a non-working supervisory role, we are looking for someone with a practical, hands-on approach who is prepared to assist with day-to-day site activities when required. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the installation of uPVC windows on a multi-storey construction site
Oversee the installation of associated products, including external aluminium pressings, window fittings and cheese graters
Coordinate and supervise site deliveries, ensuring materials are received, checked and managed efficiently
Complete and maintain accurate QA records, including supporting photographic evidence
Monitor installation quality and ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements and relevant health and safety procedures
Attend site meetings throughout the working day and communicate relevant information to the installation team
Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress and any issues arising
Liaise with site management, installers, contractors and other trades to help maintain programme requirements
Manage multiple tasks and changing priorities within a busy construction site environment
Provide practical, hands-on support to the team when required
The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced and capable site supervisor with a good understanding of construction site operations. Experience within window, faade or glazing installation would be highly advantageous.
You should be:
SMSTS qualified or preferably hold a current SMSTS certificate
Confident supervising teams and installation activities on a busy construction site
Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for day-to-day site activities
A strong communicator who can liaise professionally with site management, contractors and installation teams
IT literate and confident using email, recording QA information electronically and participating in Microsoft Teams meetings
Detail-focused with a strong approach to quality assurance and record keeping
Willing to take a hands-on approach and assist the installation team where necessary
