Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm

Astraseal is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of uPVC and aluminium windows, doors and glazing solutions. With over 45 years of manufacturing experience, we supply a wide range of products to trade, commercial and domestic customers across the UK.

We are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Despatch Operative to join our busy team at our Wellingborough manufacturing facility. Working as part of our Despatch team, you will play an important role in ensuring completed products are correctly located, checked and loaded safely and efficiently, ready for delivery to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Locating completed orders in line with daily despatch and delivery schedules
  • Allocating products to the correct loading bays ready for despatch
  • Safely loading windows, doors, glass and associated ancillary products onto delivery vehicles
  • Checking orders to ensure all required products and components are present before despatch
  • Following loading schedules and using our in-house scanning system to ensure orders are complete and accurately recorded
  • Unloading returned and old window products ready for recycling
  • Handling products carefully to minimise the risk of damage
  • Keeping loading bays and despatch areas clean, organised and safe
  • Working closely with drivers, production teams and other colleagues to ensure deliveries leave on schedule
  • Following all company Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices

What we're looking for:

  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively in a busy environment
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to follow schedules accurately
  • A good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
  • The physical ability to safely lift, carry and handle windows, doors and associated products
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, despatch or similar environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided
