We are partnering exclusively with an established international business that has been successfully operating since the 1980s. With over 40 years of industry expertise and strong partnerships with leading global producers, the company has positioned itself as a key distributor of polymers and chemicals worldwide.
We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead sales activities across the UK & Ireland for the company's polymer portfolio. This role offers an excellent opportunity to play a key part in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK & Ireland within commodity plastics trading and distribution.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships to increase sales volume.
- Drive sales of key products including Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), PVC, PET, and Polystyrene (PS).
- Oversee trading activities, including pricing, purchasing, and sales negotiations.
- Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to support business growth.
- Negotiate purchasing and sales conditions for polymer commodities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient logistics and order fulfilment.
- Monitor and support the processing of sales and supply orders.
- Ensure timely follow-up on invoicing and payments related to transactions.
- Carry out additional tasks as required by management.
- Proven experience in polymer or chemical distribution sales within the UK market.
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of commodity plastics (PE, PP, PVC, PET, PS).
- Experience sourcing materials from both European and international suppliers.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to manage and develop a sales pipeline effectively.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
