A growing, family-run civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint Quantity Surveyors at Junior through to Senior level to support the commercial delivery of projects across South Yorkshire. The business has built a strong reputation through long-standing client relationships, consistent quality delivery, and a collaborative approach. Continued growth means they are now expanding their commercial team.
You will be joining a close-knit, supportive environment where people share knowledge, take ownership of their work, and are encouraged to develop their careers long term. You will work across multiple sites, partnering with operational teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
What you will be doing day to day:
- Supporting or leading the commercial management of civil engineering projects
- Assisting with or administering NEC4 contracts and ensuring compliance
- Preparing valuations, variations, and contributing to final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and supporting financial reporting
- Working closely with site teams to align commercial and operational objectives
- Managing or supporting subcontractor accounts and relationships
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Supporting the development of junior team members
About You:
- Experience within a Quantity Surveying role in civil engineering or infrastructure
- Understanding of NEC contracts (or willingness to develop knowledge)
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on site
- For senior candidates, experience leading commercial activities and mentoring others
