Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Legal Cashier / Legal Assistant position based in Mayfair. The role is a varied and important one combining two distinct but complementary functions: legal cashiering and legal / office support. The successful candidate will support the operational backbone of the firm, maintaining the accounts and compliance to a high standard, supporting the fee-earners with matter administration and billing and ensuring that the office runs smoothly. This role suits someone who is highly organised, effective at prioritising and comfortable moving between detailed financial work and broader office and team support in a busy professional environment.
Required Experience / Skills
- Proven experience as a legal cashier in a law firm or other professional services firm, with working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Familiarity with AML/KYC compliance processes.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
- Experience using a legal practice management system and accounting software (Actionstep and Xero experience would be an advantage).
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support cross-functional roles effectively.
- A professional, personable and client-focused manner.
