Based across various offices, including Cornwall, Hertfordshire, Glasgow or Newcastle. We’re supporting a leading global renewable energy business in their search for a Grid Services & Compliance Engineer to play a key role in shaping and delivering grid strategy across a large-scale operational asset portfolio.
This organisation is a well-established player in the renewable energy sector, with a strong international footprint and a significant UK&I function. This function continues to grow, with a clear focus on optimising operational performance and unlocking additional value through grid and ancillary service opportunities. Their pipeline currently stands at 140 assets mainly wind but with some solar and energy storage. This team also looks at projects across Europe, with scope for this role to also work across the Nordic region, France, USA and Australia.
Your main role will be to take ownership of developing and evolving the UK&I Asset Management grid strategy, while leading client-facing grid initiatives across the portfolio.
The main responsibilities include:
- Working with operational assets to make improvements.
- Collaborating with routes to market teams to improve grid ancillary services for operational assets.
- Staying up to date with relevant grid documentation, policies and ancillary services.
- Conveying technical works to various internal teams.
- Being the first port of call and main communicator with NESO and managing communications with stakeholders.
