Piper Maddox are excited to be supporting a leading renewable energy company specialising in the development of sustainable energy projects with a key focus on solar and battery storage. Our client has an excellent portfolio of projects in active development, hugely stable funding & investment, as well as strong ambitions & plans to transition into an IPP model in the near future. If you’re looking to make a real impact by contributing to live projects and playing a key role in design decisions and development outcomes, this role offers exactly that. This company was founded over a decade ago and has since built a strong portfolio, with a multi-GW pipeline. Following their exciting pipeline, they are now looking to expand their team through the hire of a CAD Design Engineer to help support their design processes across their solar and battery storage projects.
Role: CAD Design Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £35,000-£45,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing high-quality CAD and GIS drawings to support land agreements, planning applications and project development
- Producing option, lease and red-line plans for legal and commercial use
- Developing preliminary solar PV and BESS layouts, designs and site constraints plans
- Carrying out early-stage site assessments and feasibility analysis
Previous Experience:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, renewable energy, geography, or a related discipline
- About 2+ years’ experience in CAD design and/or GIS analysis, ideally within renewables, infrastructure or the built environment
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D) and GIS software
- Experience with Solar PV and BESS technologies and system components
