Responsibilities

  1. The Department

    The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a ‘Force for Good\’.

    Our Schools department is striving to be at the forefront of supporting schools across the city through innovative curriculums and bespoke delivery. The department oversees our Primary School Sport and Education programmes that aim to engage and inspire children and teachers across the National Curriculum using the power of the club, football and the Premier League as the hook for learning.

  2. The Role

    The Foundation are seeking a driven and passionate individual to continue the growth and build on previous successes within our Primary School Sport and Education programme.

    You will be responsible for the coordination of the programme that maximises our work with a large number of primary schools and ensure the efficiency and consistency of our programme. This includes core delivery in our Partner Schools, plus events and festivals at Villa Park and the Inner City Academy.

    You will lead quality assurance and quality visits, with the support of the Schools Manager. These visits with our delivery team to ensure a high-quality programme is delivered and staff feel supported to develop within their role.

    You will also be key to measuring the impact of the programme by data collating and interpreting, so that our work can be evidenced to key stakeholders. Working closely with the Schools Manager you will have opportunities to help shape the ever-evolving nature of the programme.

  3. The Person

    To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate extensive experience working in primary schools, with minimum qualifications of NGB L2 or Qualified Teacher Status and desirably PESS L3 qualification (or equivalent).

    Your ability, knowledge and experience to deliver across all areas of the national curriculum are key attributes and qualities for this role, with your creativity and ideas invaluable for the continued growth and success of the programme.

    Interpersonal and organisational skills are essential as you will be coordinating a team of deliverers. You will also be a key member of the team in maintaining and/or establishing relationships with our key stakeholders, supported by the Schools Manager.
