As the Academy Therapist you will be part of a wider therapy team responsible for providing pitch‑side emergency aid cover to Academy Players (Pre‑Academy up to age 16), while also assisting full‑time Academy medical and sport‑science staff in the assessment and rehabilitation of injured players. You will deliver bespoke activation, warm‑up, and individual and group gym/pitch sessions focused on athletic development, and implement specific injury‑reduction strategies.

Inury prevention and player development are core responsibilities that require a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

?”Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy or BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy
  • Membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC), or membership to the Society of Sports Therapists or Sports Therapy Association
  • UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for travel between sites

The successful candidate must be a clear, concise and accurate communicator who can liaise and build successful relationships with colleagues, players and parents. You should demonstrate sound knowledge of applied anatomy and pediatric injuries, ideally within a sporting environment. While not essential, knowledge of the Elite Player Performance Plan (Category 1 Academy) and experience of working within interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams are highly advantageous. Flexibility is required, predominantly during evenings and weekends.

Our Boys Academy Department has achieved Category One Academy status, reflecting our commitment to excellence across coaching, education, training and facilities. Recent successes include a treble‑winning 2024/25 season for the U18s, topping the Under‑18 Premier League Southern section, winning the national title, and lifting the FA Youth Cup.
