Role Overview
The Club are continuing our rapid growth trajectory both on and off the pitch, further expanding our commercial footprint with the launch of a brand-new retail store in the heart of Birmingham\โs iconic Bullring shopping centre which opened in May 2025. The store design incorporates cultural touchpoints from Villa Park and a museum section celebrating the Club\โs connection to Birmingham and football history. The store spans 10,000 square feet across a ground and mezzanine floor and showcases our full retail offering including kits, training wear and a significant adidas collection. We are now looking to continue to build our team for the store to create a best-in-class customer experience which is inclusive and welcoming for all.
Responsibilities
- Patrol the store and act as a visual deterrent to shoplifters and security incidents.
- Conduct internal investigations into stock loss, fraud and theft, and complete detailed incident reports and collate evidence that may be used to support criminal prosecution.
- Work closely with store assistants, store managers and local police and crime hubs to gather intel on prolific shoplifters in the area.
- Meet and greet customers and oversee site security maintaining security protocols in a busy environment.
- Act as a visual deterrent and support store staff in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Qualifications
- Hold a SIA Security Guard Licence and have previous experience in a similar loss prevention officer role.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of people with a passion for customer service.
- Show the ability to effectively manage and resolve challenges, conflict and incidents in a professional manner.
- Be proactive, selfโstarter with a high level of integrity and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Be able to work flexibly in line with the Bullring Store opening hours which will regularly include evenings and weekends.
