We have a new opportunity for a Media Executive to join the team to help shape the voice and presence of Aston Villa Women across all platforms. In this role, you will deliver high-quality editorial content across our website, digital, print and other channels - ensuring that all content aligns and reflects the Club's identity, brand and tone of voice.
Responsibilities
- You will produce engaging and thoughtful storytelling via editorial content for web, app, matchday communications and other key channels driving positive sentiment and deep engagement with fans, players and key media.
- Working closely with our players and football staff, you will maintain detailed, up-to-date player profiles capturing milestones, statistics, personal narratives and emerging storylines.
- You will identify and shape media opportunities, offering forward-thinking insight into trends, coverage, and audience sentiment, while proactively flagging risks and opportunities within the wider media landscape.
- You will play a pivotal role on a matchday drafting and publishing timely, accurate post-match reviews and match-related written content as well as work alongside the wider football operations and communications to ensure matchday information is accurate and timely.
Given the nature of this role, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be able to work flexibly as this role will include evenings, weekends and matchdays.
Qualifications & Requirements
- You are pro-active, forward-thinking and creative with the ability to identify stories and opportunities and execute insight into action.
- You need previous experience in communications, content or a media role, ideally within sport or a fast-paced environment.
- You must have strong organisational, writing, and editorial skills and be able to adapt tone across audiences and channels that resonate with our fans and produce high quality content within tight deadlines whilst maintaining high attention to detail.
- You should be able to build strong relationships quickly, have excellent verbal and written communication skills which are clear, concise, and accurate with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
