The Role
At Aston Villa Football Club, the Retail and Licensing department plays a vital role in supporting the club's commercial success and fan engagement. We offer a wide variety of high-quality football merchandise and leisurewear online and in-store, while maintaining a strong connection to our brand and culture. This role focuses on driving sales with an emphasis on the Bullring store, helping ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time and using data and insight to inform decisions. You will work closely with internal departments, club partners and external stakeholders to deliver a consistent and compelling retail message across all channels. This is a varied and dynamic role that includes supporting the planning and delivery of the Club's product range, coordinating merchandise launches and promotions, and ensuring stock is effectively managed in-store and in the warehouse. You will produce weekly sales and stock reports, providing insight into performance, sell-through, and stock levels.
The Person
You will need proven experience in a similar assistant merchandising role within the retail fashion industry. You must be results-driven with a keen eye for market trends and customer preferences, and have the numerical and analytical skills to monitor trading performance and deliver actionable insights. You should be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage multiple projects with strong organisational skills. You will need to have access to a vehicle and/or the ability to travel between Club sites; Birmingham Retail Store, Villa Park and Bodymoor Heath.
