The Department

The Finance Department plays a pivotal role at the Club in supporting our long-term ambitions both on and off the pitch. Operating at the heart of a fast-paced, high-performance environment, it is the engine that keeps our Club stable and able to compete sustainably. The team provides the insight and control that underpin our decisions – from managing budgets and cash flow to overseeing player transfers and regulatory reporting.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Banking and Reconciliation Assistant to join the Finance Team. You will work closely with our Ticketing and Hospitality teams, analyse daily revenue, reconcile and integrate transactions into our finance systems, allocate incoming payments and investigate any discrepancies. You will also support a range of sales ledger activities, including processing payments, maintaining customer accounts, raising invoices and credit notes, monitoring outstanding balances and assisting with month-end procedures.

This is a varied and hands-on finance role where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are essential. You will act as an important link between our sales and finance systems, helping to ensure transactions are processed efficiently and in line with the Club’s financial controls and procedures.

For further information about the Role, please see the Role Profile.

The Person

You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. You will be highly organised and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the Club, building positive relationships and responding to queries in a clear, professional and timely manner.

You will be confident using finance systems alongside Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. A proactive and self-motivated approach will be important, along with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.

You must hold a full UK driving license with access to a vehicle to travel between our Club sites as and when required. You will also work flexible hours as the Club requires.
