1. The Department
Our Boys Academy Department is proud to have achieved the prestigious Category One Academy status which reflects our commitment to delivering excellence across all areas of youth football including coaching, education, training, and facilities. We are dedicated to supporting and nurturing the next generation of elite footballers, as demonstrated in our memorable treble-winning 2024/25 season for our U18s as we topped the Under-18 Premier League Southern section table, the Under-18 Premier League national title and we lifted the prestigious FA Youth Cup.
As we continue to build on this success, we are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will assist in the delivery of the physiotherapy provision within our Academy’s Sport Science and Medical Department, playing a vital part in nurturing, encouraging, and supporting the next generation of elite players.
2. The Role
As the Senior Physiotherapist, you will assist in coordinating and delivering top-tier physiotherapy services to our Professional Development Phase (PDP) squads, with a primary focus on the U18s squad. Your expertise will be key to shaping a cutting-edge, evidence-based approach to player health, availability, and performance, working collaboratively within our multidisciplinary Academy Medical and Sport Science Department.
Based at our world-class Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, you’ll play a fundamental role in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating injured players, while championing a proactive approach to injury prevention. By designing and delivering tailored individual and group athletic development programs, you will help our players reach their full potential and thrive in a high-performance environment.

3. The Person
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold the following qualifications:
* BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (minimum 2:1)
* Membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
To excel in this role, you will bring proven experience in working with elite youth athletes in a full-time capacity within a professional sporting environment, specifically at the Professional Development Phase.
Your expertise will include a detailed understanding of applied anatomy, alongside proficiency in assessing and rehabilitating complex sports injuries merging the science with the art of rehabilitation. You will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in areas such as growth and maturation, injury prevention, and athletic development, all supported by outstanding clinical reasoning skills.
We are seeking a team player who thrives in high-pressure environments and has significant experience working collaboratively within Interdisciplinary and Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
