The Department
Our Facilities and Estates Department are responsible for looking after our facilities across all our sites – Villa Park, Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and Brookvale Inner City Academy. The Club is continuing its rapid growth trajectory both on and off the pitch, including the development and expansion of our sites and facilities. The team plays a vital role in supporting major redevelopment work across all Club sites, enabling day‑to‑day operations and matchdays to run smoothly and ensuring all facilities are maintained to the highest standard possible.
The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems across the Club’s estates, ensuring all infrastructure operates safely, efficiently and in full compliance with current regulations. Your duties include inspections, testing, fault‑finding, completing accurate certification and providing expert technical advice to support day‑to‑day operations and major events. You will deliver best‑in‑class electrical support for matchdays and other Club events, ensuring all critical systems meet the standards required by the Premier League and FA. In addition, you will respond to maintenance requests, support event builds and broadcasters with power requirements, and work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers and the wider Facilities and Maintenance team.
The Person
You must hold a 17th or above Electrical Qualification (or equivalent) and an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent). Proven practical maintenance skills are essential, with the ability to assess problems, develop solutions and make sound decisions in line with health and safety legislation and best practice. A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is required to travel between Club sites as needed. Availability and willingness to work flexible hours, including all men's first‑team home matches, evenings, weekends and other events, is essential.
