Subject Leader (Chemistry) in a specialist University Technical College dedicated to Science and Engineering. Aston University Engineering Academy and Aston University Sixth Form is a specialist University Technical College established in 2012. We are a heavily oversubscribed 13-19-Year-old school, with 250 Year 9‑Year 11 students and 750 sixth‑form students, and have become a highly valued and recognised lead centre for Science, Business, Health and Engineering in the Midlands in line with our sponsor Aston University.

Science is a vital element of our unique UTC STEM curriculum with many KS4 students following the AQA GCSE 9‑1 separate science syllabus and large KS5 numbers on A Level Chemistry, Biology and Physics, Engineering (BTEC) and various T Levels including Health. Chemistry is always hugely popular at A level with so many of our students looking for careers in medicine and pharmacy. As well as our own outstanding science facilities, our location next to our sponsor Aston University means that we can access resources, teaching and learning spaces like no other school.
