Aston Law School is seeking to appoint an outstanding scholar to the position of Reader in Law. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious academic to join a distinctive, growing, and research‑active Law School within a collegial and forward‑looking environment. We welcome applications from candidates working in any area of law.
The successful applicant will be an established researcher with a strong upward trajectory, an internationally recognised publication record, and a clear five‑year research plan. You will lead your own research programme, contribute to the School’s strategic priorities, and support colleagues through mentoring and collaboration. You will have significant experience of teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level, a track record of securing external research funding, and experience of supervising doctoral students to completion. You will also contribute to curriculum development, external engagement, and the wider academic leadership of the School.
