An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated person with an attention to detail to join a busy Maintenance & Engineering Team within the Estates and Capital Developments department at Aston University.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on primarily the electrical services at the Aston University Birmingham City Centre campus and Recreation Centre in Walsall. The role is electrical in nature, responding to radio calls for tripped circuits and failed lighting as well as carry out minor installation works and preventative maintenance.

The successful applicant will need to be at least level 3 qualified electrician, 18 th Edition is preferable or will need to be obtained during the first 6 months of joining.

Applicants must have good written and spoken English skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and high level of organisation are a prerequisite. A strong customer service focus is essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal contacts at various levels.
