We’re looking for a motivated and customer‑focused individual to join our Digital Services Desktop Support team, supporting the management of the full lifecycle of digital equipment across the University. If you’re still building confidence in some technical areas, please apply — your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important.

In this practical role, you’ll assist engineers with deploying, configuring, maintaining and retiring digital devices such as PCs, laptops, tablets and other end‑user equipment. You’ll help install operating systems and applications, maintain accurate case notes, work collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers, and provide friendly, solution‑focused support to users.

You will bring experience working in a customer‑focused environment, along with confidence in installing or configuring digital equipment. You’ll have strong communication skills, be organised and proactive, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a supportive team. GCSE‑level education to include Maths and English (or equivalent experience) is required; experience in an academic setting is beneficial but not essential.

Some lifting of equipment and occasional out‑of‑hours work may be required; a Digital Services uniform will be provided for on‑campus work.

What we offer:

  • Excellent training and development opportunities.
