We are looking for an experienced credit controller to join the accounts receivable team at Aston University. We have multiple debtor ledgers for student fees, commercial, research, student loans and conferencing and the key purpose of the role will be to maximise income collection across these.

We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team but use their own initiative and utilise their existing skillset to resolve queries, communicate with stakeholders and interrogate and interpret system data to facilitate debt recovery. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Management, the post holder will deliver a consistent, high‑quality service, responding to queries promptly and professionally, while managing relationships across internal departments, support areas, and external bodies. Strong communication, analytical skills, and problem‑solving ability are essential to succeed in this role.

Contributing to an excellent student/customer experience by providing advice and guidance to debtors, and maintaining robust financial processing through upholding institutional policy and procedures.

Experience required:

  • Maintaining a sales ledger with a varied customer portfolio
