Aston Business School is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Alumni Relations team as an Alumni Relations Officer. In this role, you will engage with our global community of Business School graduates, building strong relationships with alumni and developing a network of volunteers who actively support the school’s strategic priorities, including student employability, recruitment and global engagement.

Working closely with the Global Alumni Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of alumni engagement activities, focused on building long term, mutually beneficial relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting and managing alumni volunteers
  • Supporting mentoring and student engagement initiatives
  • Planning and delivering events
  • Creating engaging digital communications

You will also contribute to activities that support rankings and accreditations, using alumni insight and data to help strengthen the School’s global reputation. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring close working with teams across the School and wider University, including Alumni Relations and Development, Marketing, Careers and Placements, International Recruitment and academic departments.

You will play an important role in connecting alumni with key initiatives and ensuring they remain engaged, informed and involved in the life of the School. We are looking for a proactive professional with experience in alumni relations, stakeholder engagement or related areas such as marketing or events management. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You should be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities.

Experience of working with volunteers, delivering events, and using CRM systems and digital communication tools is essential. A degree or equivalent experience is required, and experience in higher education or an international context would be advantageous.
