The Alumni Relations team sits within the Business Development & Advancement directorate and plays a key role in connecting alumni with opportunities that strengthen the University's reputation, support international student recruitment, and deliver real-world impact. This is an exciting time to join the team as Aston builds on strong foundations in key international markets to further expand its global alumni networks.

The Alumni Relations Manager (International) will be responsible for developing and sustaining Aston's international alumni networks, with a focus on countries that support international recruitment and reputation goals. Working closely with colleagues in Alumni Relations, International Recruitment, Development, Marketing, and Careers Placements, the postholder will strengthen Aston's relationships with influential alumni and networks across the world.

The role will mobilise alumni as advocates and ambassadors, using their experience and insight to support prospective students, share global opportunities, and enhance Aston's visibility in international markets. This highly collaborative role also involves overseas travel and occasional evening or weekend work to engage with alumni in different time zones.

You will be a proactive, confident relationship builder with experience of working across cultures and developing partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes. With a background in alumni relations, international engagement, or a related field, you'll bring a strong understanding of volunteer management and international recruitment. You'll be skilled in communication and stakeholder management, comfortable working with senior individuals, and capable of developing creative engagement initiatives that inspire alumni to get involved. A degree or equivalent experience is required, along with the flexibility to travel internationally and work across time zones as needed.
