Aston Murray is currently recruiting a Corporate Finance Associate for a boutique corporate finance firm based in central London. This role will be expected to deliver mid‑cap (£50m‑£500m EV) M&A and ECM transactions across a range of sectors. Specifically, this will involve:

  • Leading the day‑to‑day delivery of transactions
  • Preparing transaction documentation
  • Developing and maintaining financial models
  • Researching and approaching buyers/targets
  • Supporting general marketing activities

You will ideally have 3+ years of relevant client‑facing experience at an investment bank, corporate finance, or accounting firm, with a background in M&A and/or Equity Capital Markets. You should hold a professional qualification (ACA/CFA or equivalent) with strong financial literacy. An audit background will be an advantage.

It is essential that you have excellent Excel skills and be proficient in developing bespoke integrated three‑statement financial models in a transaction environment. You must have built these models yourself in a working environment, not just reviewed them. Formal financial modelling training is expected, and you should anticipate your skills being tested as part of the recruitment process.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small, fast‑moving, sector‑agnostic firm where your contribution will be readily apparent and you will be well rewarded for it. You will be working on a wide range of deal types and sizes in both the UK and European markets. A proven progression path is available to Director level.

This role is paying £70k as a base salary with up to a 100% performance‑based bonus. This is an office‑based role.
