We’re looking for a Community Maintenance Officer to ensure that all buildings, facilities and grounds are safe, functional and well‑maintained, supporting effective delivery of services at both Aston‑Mansfield Community Centre and land at Burges Road.
- 7 hours per week (flexible)
- £14.80 per hour
- On site (Aston‑Mansfield Community Centre, Manor Park)

Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections of the community centre and associated properties.
- Undertake routine maintenance, repairs and outdoor upkeep including grounds maintenance.
- Regular inspection and maintenance of Burges Road.
- Coordinate specialist contractors for electrical, gas, plumbing and other works.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date maintenance log and report issues promptly.
- Support capital projects and improvements.
- Respond flexibly to emergencies and urgent repairs.
- Support Health & Safety compliance, including actions from audits and risk assessments.
Person Specification
Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of carrying out building maintenance, repairs or caretaking duties in a similar environment (e.g. community buildings, housing, land and estates or facilities)
- Experience of basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, joinery, decorating or grounds maintenance
- Experience of conducting site inspections and identifying maintenance issues
- Understanding of health and safety requirements in a facilities or maintenance context, including risk assessments
- Experience of working with external contractors and coordinating works
- Ability to maintain records and logs accurately
