Aston Manor are one of the UKs manufacturers of Cider, counting Knights, Knights Vintage and Crumpton Oaks among our many delicious products. Due to a recent promotion, we are recruiting for a Packaging Manager to take overall responsibility for the Packaging Department in our Tiverton site. This is an exciting time to join Aston Manor as the company goes from strength to strength.
As Packaging Manager, the successful candidate will lead a Packaging team of over 40 people, delivering world class efficiency, by continuing to promote a right first-time culture. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery of production line performance and efficiency, ensuring on time delivery to plan.
Working alongside a site senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be expected to promote a one-team culture whilst enhancing standards of finished pack quality, departmental health and safety, BRC compliance and housekeeping.
To be considered you should have excellent leadership and communication skills, enabling you to deliver high standards of Team Leader and Operator engagement ensuring the team is always audit ready, delivering expected standards of internal and external customer service levels, and championing good health and safety practice.
You should demonstrate significant practical knowledge and experience managing a team within high-speed beverage manufacture, preferably cider, beer or soft drink production, coupled with experience of managing cultural change and working with lean manufacturing techniques. You must also have the confidence and ability to present to and challenge when necessary senior managers to Director level.
An ILM Level 5, or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards is essential. The role will require occasional travel to other UK sites; as such, a full UK driving licence is also essential.
