Aston Education is working with a thriving and vibrant British international school in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They are looking for a full-time primary or secondary HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to start in August 2026.

The School of Research Science is a thriving and popular international school for students aged 3-18. They opened their doors 25 years ago and they have over 3000 students today. The student cohort is a diverse range of nationalities together with a high proportion of Emirati Nationals. The school is committed to excellence, inclusivity, and community. They follow the British Curriculum from EYFS to KS5, and they offer excellent modern facilities. The school's key focus areas include mastery in literacy and numeracy, inquiry-based learning and critical thinking and problem-solving.

The job responsibilities include:

  • As an HLTA, you'll work in either the Primary or Secondary School's inclusion zone.
  • You'll support small groups of students with SEND or barriers for learning to improve their Maths, English or Functional Skills.
  • You'll create an engaging learning environment and work collaboratively with the SENDCO, other HLTAs, and the teaching teams.
  • You'll also support students with examination access arrangement.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • HLTA qualification is desirable
  • Examination access arrangement training is desirable
  • Successful UK LSA/HLTA experience at a primary or secondary school level
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • Calm, patient and caring attitude with a good sense of humour
