Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary school in Lewisham looking for a permanent full-time Head of Religious Studies (RS).
As a Head of RS, you\’ll provide high quality leadership to the Religious Studies department. You\’ll lead and actively contribute to the teaching of Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics across all age and ability ranges (KS3, KS4 and KS5). You\’ll develop all aspects of the Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics curriculum and secure the quality of teaching in the department.
You have:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Degree in Religious Studies or another relevant subject
- Successful experience teaching Religious Studies and Philosophy and Ethics from KS3-KS5
- Good knowledge of Religious Studies and Philosophy and Ethics
- Substantial secondary school teaching experience
