Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary school in Lewisham, Southeast London (inner London), looking for a permanent Head of Chemistry to make a major contribution to their excellent Science department.

The core purpose of this Head of Chemistry post is to contribute to the continuing development of the Chemistry curriculum and the overall development of the Science department. This role involves teaching all age groups on KS3, KS4, and KS5.

You will be passionate about Chemistry and committed to making a real difference to pupils through leadership of the curriculum, teaching, and professional development of colleagues in Science.

You will join a highly skilled team dedicated to ensuring student success and achievement of their full potential.

Responsibilities include setting appropriate challenges for all abilities across KS3, KS4, and KS5, and supporting extracurricular activities. Experience or interest in Gifted & Talented, SEN, and Assessment for Learning initiatives is essential.

This vibrant and oversubscribed school is part of a respected medium-sized Multi-Academy Trust.
