Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary academy looking for a Head of Year. The school is based in Lewisham, Southeast London, and they are part of a respected medium size Multi-Academy Trust.
As a Head of Year, you ll take a strategic lead in maintaining high standards and aspirations and you have the ability to:
- Raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement and coordinated intervention strategies as required to ensure pupils achieve to their best ability.
- Lead the pastoral support for the Year Group working with Form Tutors and other internal and external agencies.
- You will also teach your specialist subject(s).

Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Good honours degree in a relevant discipline with relevant teaching qualification
- Experience of holding a curriculum and/or pastoral responsibility
- Experience and ability to teach your subject at KS3, KS4 and KS5
- An outstanding classroom practitioner with an excellent track record of progress and results
- Proven track record of raising educational standards and achievement
- Understanding how to analyse and use data effectively
