Aston Education is working with a thriving and vibrant international school in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They are looking for a full-time Assistant Headteacher - EYFS to start in August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent EYFS Teacher with proven experience raising achievement and coaching to support improved teaching and learning in Early Years Foundation Stage.

The international school is a thriving and popular international school for students aged 3-18. They opened their doors 25 years ago and they have over 3000 students today. The student cohort is a diverse range of nationalities together with a high proportion of Emirati Nationals. The school is committed to excellence, inclusivity, and community. They follow the British Curriculum from EYFS to KS5, and they offer excellent modern facilities. The school's key focus areas include mastery in literacy and numeracy, inquiry-based learning and critical thinking and problem-solving. The job responsibilities include:

  • The Assistant Headteacher - EYFS holds strategic and operational responsibility for Early Years (EYFS), age range 3-5. The school has over 10 forms of entry on Reception.
  • As the Assistant Headteacher - EYFS, you'll ensure that the provision across the EYFS reflects the highest standards of teaching, learning, safeguarding, and pastoral care.
  • The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the Primary Senior Management team to ensure outstanding outcomes for their students.
  • You will not have a class teacher responsibility, but you'll be in class coaching and curriculum planning. You'll also be required to cover in the event of an absence.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • QTS Bachelor of Education (BEd) or PGCE and a relevant degree
  • Proven experience raising achievement and coaching to support improved teaching and learning
  • Successful UK leadership and management experience of EYFS at a primary school
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for EYFS
  • Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
