An opportunity has arisen for an Exams Access Assessor, who will support the SENDco and Exam Officer to assess eligibility, write reports and co-ordinate student exam access arrangements as required to ensure all children and young people receive the support they are entitled to in order to achieve their potential, whilst also contributing to all aspects of safeguarding, including child protection.

Working 37 hours per week, term time only - Term time only includes working 2 out of 5 INSET days each academic year as directed by the school, with availability to work any or all of the remaining 3 INSET days at short notice should the need arise, and for which additional payment will be made.

The successful candidate must have a Level 7 qualification in Access Arrangements or be a qualified specialist assessor, and will be able to work to strict procedures and guidelines, to oversee that agreed arrangements are in place and fully implemented in line with JCQ guidelines and regulations.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to carry out assessments to support applications for student exam access arrangements.
  • Complete Form 8 reports, filenotes and GDPR forms in line with JCQ regulations.
  • Maintain and keep accurate records including recording information on relevant spreadsheets and forms.
  • Work closely with exam departments to ensure EAA is processed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Be well organised and able to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to build and maintain successful relationships with staff and students.
  • Able to work collaboratively with many colleagues.
  • Work within our school collaborative - secondary and primary.
  • Be committed to promoting positive values, attitudes and behaviour.
  • Able to interest, engage and motivate students to reach their full potential.
  • Be committed to promoting the welfare and safety of children.
  • Support at key times the administration and coordination of exams.
  • Provide cover for the Exam Manager as and when required.
  • Work in other ACET academies, as required.
