Pedigree: Owned by a global broking giant, with capacity from one of the largest insurers, offering a best-in-class service, especially within the Golf niche. The company is expanding into football and rugby clubs.
Role Overview: Handling renewal and new business cases, dealing with clients from both the company\'s own broking and third-party brokers, focusing on bespoke sports insurance products such as Commercial Combined, Property, Liability, and Specialist products.
Key Duties:
- Managing relationships with brokers, colleagues, and clients across the UK.
- Identifying opportunities to offer solutions by evaluating applicant situations and risks.
- Underwriting new and existing business within delegated authority.
- Communicating effectively across the business.
- Ensuring high service levels and working within SLAs.
- Building profitable relationships with brokers and colleagues.
- Issuing policies by calculating premiums and negotiating terms.
Candidate Profile: Ideally from a commercial underwriting background with experience in golf or sports insurance. Applications from outstanding Commercial Underwriters (Commercial Combined/Property/Casualty) with a passion for sports are welcome. Experienced brokers with delegated authority experience are also encouraged. Please note, focus should not be on auto-rated business.
Skills & Qualities: Numerate, IT proficient, stakeholder management skills, team-oriented.
