This thriving broker has a long and proud history in South Yorkshire, and now boasts what is probably the largest broking operation in Sheffield. It is enjoying a sustained period of growth, both in terms of the acquisition of quality accounts and personnel. Indeed, it is due to this continued organic growth of the branch’s portfolio that the need has arisen to appoint an additional Account Handler.
Given the breadth of the portfolio controlled by the company, they can accommodate candidates at all experience levels - from those currently dealing with SME business, through to those dealing with more complex business and wish to handle mid-corporate accounts generating in excess of £10,000 income. Clients could be from a range of industry sectors, both blue and white collar.
You will be responsible for supporting Account Executives and Directors, providing a high level of support in regards to the day to day management of their portfolios. You will develop a detailed understanding of your clients’ businesses, and ensure that their insurance programme is both robust and cost effective. Should you establish there are gaps in cover, you will suggest ways to mitigate these through ancillary covers and services. You will also administer mid-term amendments, prepare renewals and market new business cases won by colleagues. In addition, you’ll negotiate with insurers in order to obtain your clients the most comprehensive cover at competitive premiums.

With extensive, free onsite parking, this broker is based near Meadowhall, close to the motorway, train station and main arterial roads. It is also an advocate of flexible-working, and only expects its team in the office twice weekly. As such, this role will surely appeal to candidates from across South and West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and the East Midlands.
It is anticipated this role will carry a salary of up to £42,000, although there is scope to negotiate on this for outstanding candidates. You will also receive a generous bonus and a range of flexible benefits (including PMI).
